Below you find a selection of the most important, usually annual events in the region. These can be combined with your visit to 'Le Temps Différent', where in the evening you come to a complete rest. Occasionally we plan in 'Le Temps Différent' a 'special weekend'. These are one-time packages. Our customers will be notified of this by email.

JANUARY

  • First weekend of January: Festivities Bommel in Ronse. On Saturday at 18h a big parade. Street entertainment. Taste during the celebrations of the "Bommelkies" a diamond cake with apples and lemon.
  • Mid-January: RAMDAM festival (IMAGIX Tournai). Festival where especially the 'unusual' films are shown.
  • Third weekend of January: Les Antoniades (Flobecq). Flea market with local products, entertainment in the streets of Flobecq.
  • End of January: Batirama in Tournai. To compare with Batibouw, but smaller.

FEBRUARY

  • Carnival in Binche. The famous carnival of Wallonia.
  • Exhibition of antiques and collections in the halls of Tournai.
  • Day of crafts

MARCH

  • Piste aux espoires in Tournai. International circus artists showing their acts in and around the streets of Tournai.
  • Carnival in Tournai.
  • Beer festival in Tournai. About twenty brewers share their knowledge and passion for beer with the public.
  • Tour of Flanders, on and around the Mont-de-l'Enclus. Go by bike from 'Le Temps Différent 'cheering the tour.

APRIL

  • Good Friday: 'Marché aux fleurs' in Tournai. Large flower market in the city center streets.
  • Easter Monday: 'Marche à bâton'. Great walking event on and around the Mont-Saint-Aubert.
  • Weekend after Easter: 'Foires de jardin in Enghien'. Garden and decoration exhibition around the castle of Enghien. 200 exhibitors.
  • Spring: 'Plantes Rares et de Collections'. First (of 4) cozy plant fair around the castle of Celles. Known across the border.
  • Spring: 'Féérie des amaryllis' in the Castle of Beloeil. 3500 amaryllis used in bouquets, exhibited in the castle.

MAY

  • Spring and summer walks to discover Tournai and Ronse. Information at the Tourist Office of Tournai and the website of Ronse.
  • Spring: 'Rhododendrons et Azalées en fleurs'. Second (of 4) plant fair around the castle of Celles.
  • Whit Monday: Ducasse, Jean-Jean dou Balloon. Marching bands, floats, harmonies go at 15h from Guinaumont to Ellezelles.
  • Circulation Kluisbergen. Who dares challenge the walk? Up to 50 km ... and then relax in 'Le Temps Différent'.
  • Mid-May: Fair in Tournai
  • First Sunday after Whitsun: Fiertelomgang in Ronse. A walking tour of 32.6 km. To be protected against mental illness and other evils.

JUNE

  • 'Antiquités et Décorations de jardin'. Third (of 4) plant fair around the castle of Celles.
  • The 4 cortèges in Tournai. Folklore with giant parade.
  • Evening market in Avelgem (17-23h).
  • Open Door in the brewery of Cazeau, the only brewery on Tournai's territory. Tour, public brewing, collectors, tasting of Tournay, ...
  • Artists' Cours of Beloeil. A tip for all art lovers. Combine this with a visit to the beautiful castle and gardens.
  • Les médiévales au Château. Medieval festival at the foot of the castle of Antoing. Demonstration of past crafts, magic, dance, ...
  • 'Sabbat des Sorcières' in Ellezelles. Shudder at the witches' festival, with sound and light show.

  • World famous fair in Lille. Antiques and decorations at a bargain price.
  • Le Festin in Lessines. Historical festival that commemorates the liberation of the city in 1578. Almost 1000 extras in period costume, including jugglers, musicians, etc.
  • 'Fête des roses et des pépinières' in Lesdain. Important rose exhibition. Worth visiting: the decorated church and orchards.
